Mysterious Bright Light Baffles Local Residents: Unexplained Phenomenon Above Highway
In a rather bewildering incident, several local residents have reported witnessing an unusual and extremely bright light in the sky, sparking curiosity and speculation. The event, which took place near the Scarborough Gas Station, involved a luminous object approximately 80-100 feet in the air, moving parallel to the interstate at high speed.
"I want to say if there is a reasonable explanation, I’m all ears, but there is no chance it was a plane," recounted one witness. The object, estimated to be around forty feet wide, "materialized" at a very low altitude, emitting an intense, brilliantly white light. "I do not believe this was a drone," the witness insisted, noting the large size compared to agricultural drones typically seen in the area. Nor was it a helicopter; he had previously observed everything from military to personal helicopters, and this was distinct from all such experiences. The observer emphasized that the object moved horizontally, flying low like ionized air, but remained solid white.
Despite its staggering brightness, the light did not cast shadows and seemed to illuminate the entire area, surpassing even high-grade floodlights. Recounting a past experience with a green meteor that lit up the clouds, the witness highlighted how today’s low-hanging dark clouds did not diffuse the light in the same way.
Providing more details, the witness mentioned that the object was flying parallel to the interstate over the Scarborough Gas Station, at a noticeable downward trajectory. Traveling at 75 mph, he observed the object outpacing his vehicle by roughly 40 mph. It appeared momentarily before disappearing above the tree line, its intensity reducing until it vanished. A tube or "missile" shape was briefly visible, described as gray against the brightness of the light.
"I cannot express enough how bright this was," the witness concluded, leaving room for widespread curiosity and further investigation.
