Mysterious Object Spotted in Eastern Oklahoma Sky Near Cavanal Hill
Cavanal Hill, OK – On the evening of November 23, 2022, residents east of Cavanal Hill witnessed an unusual aerial phenomenon that has left many puzzled and intrigued.
At around 5:09 p.m., as the sun was setting behind thick clouds, two locals had just returned from their routine dog walk when they were startled by the sound of geese flying overhead. Typically, such a sight wouldn’t draw much attention, but this evening was different.
"We heard the geese and instinctively looked up. That’s when we noticed something strange," one of the witnesses recounted. Acting quickly, they grabbed an iPhone equipped with a high-quality camera and began recording.
The object appeared from the south, heading north, and was immediately different from the geese. Initially believed to be a drifting plastic bag, it soon became clear that this was something much larger and more symmetrical. Hovering approximately 500 to 800 feet above the ground and about 1,200 feet away, the object was estimated to be the size of a small car or boat – roughly 16 feet long, 8 feet high, and 4 feet wide.
"We managed to capture the clearest and most zoomed-in frame," said one of the witnesses. "It looked like it had a perfect pyramid shape on top."
In a further twist, the object made no sound, had no lights, wings, propellers, or any visible means of propulsion. It maintained a steady and unwavering course, resembling the controlled movement of a boat or submarine through water.
After filming, one of the witnesses dashed inside to grab binoculars and a camera with a telephoto lens. However, by the time they returned, the mysterious object had disappeared.
"I’ve flown drones here a lot and I’m familiar with the sights and sounds of planes, ultralights, and birds at various altitudes. This was unlike anything I’ve ever seen," they noted. "It felt eerie and left us both uncertain."
This unexplained sighting has sparked curiosity and debate among locals and enthusiasts. What could this mysterious flying object be?
