New York and Connecticut Residents Report Mysterious UFO Sightings
Southern New York and Western Connecticut have become the latest hotspots for unexplained aerial phenomena, according to recent eyewitness accounts. A local resident, newly joined to the Reddit UFO community, has shared intriguing details of two noteworthy sightings that have left even the most skeptical residents scratching their heads.
Fall/Winter 2023-2024: Mysterious Lights Over I-684
The first sighting spanned multiple nights from late 2023 into early 2024, characterized by three intriguing lights aligned almost in a straight line in the night sky. These sightings primarily occurred along the I-684 north corridor, beginning around exit 7 at approximately 5-6 PM.
Unlike conventional aircraft, these lights were stationary and exhibited a faster, more pronounced twinkling than stars, appearing about 50% larger. "As the nights drew darker with the seasons changing," noted the observer, "the lights maintained their curious behavior, twinkling rapidly without moving."
Even across the state border into Connecticut, the lights were visible, suggesting they were situated quite far north. By the end of the sighting period, the lights had reformed into a triangular pattern visible from I-84 in Connecticut, possibly near northern Danbury.
Interestingly, these lights behaved in an almost choreographed manner. “They didn’t just form a triangle; one light would move closer to another, causing it to move away. It was like they were walking across the sky in steps,” explained the eyewitness.
Early Morning Encounter: March 2024 (or Possibly 2022)
The second sighting occurred during an early morning drive in pitch darkness. At around 4 AM, while heading south on I-684 from Brewster, NY to drop off a dog in Bedford, NY, the driver noticed a peculiar red dot in the sky. Initially dismissing it, the individual soon realized the red light had followed their vehicle for about 10 minutes, from Brewster to Katonah, NY.
Upon switching to back roads, the observer spotted the red light once again, this time almost directly overhead. But mysteriously, by the time they reached their relative’s house, the light had vanished. “At first, I thought it might be a drone, but who would fly a drone at 4 AM over such a long distance? And why would it follow my car?” the witness questioned.
These two accounts join a growing list of unexplained sightings in the region, prompting curiosity and debate among residents. Whether these lights are advanced drones, atmospheric anomalies, or something more mysterious remains to be seen.
