YouTube Faces Backlash for Censoring UAPDA Comments on The Daily Show Video
In a recent interview with Luis Elizondo on The Daily Show, a top comment from user “adamsterish” brought significant attention to the UAP Disclosure Act (UAPDA). This spotlight on an important subject is fantastic as it provides public exposure to the act. For newcomers, understanding the UAPDA can be quite impactful.
However, a troubling situation arose in the comment section. While “adamsterish” received engagement, many replies, including one by “psychopathicjuggaloA” asking where to find the bill, were mysteriously deleted. This has sparked conversations among viewers about why responses, even those without links, were being swiftly removed.
“PsychopathicjuggaloA” rightly pointed out that locating the latest text for Senate Amendment 2610, related to UAPDA, isn’t straightforward. Searches often lead to the diluted 2023 UAP National Archives legislation, creating confusion among those new to the topic.
Monitoring the top comment throughout the night, one observer noted a pattern where replies would vanish within 10 seconds. After numerous attempts, they managed to make a reply (#50) stick, albeit with a throwaway account and by being deliberately vague. Still, this buried reply is unlikely to be seen or upvoted.
This odd behavior raises questions: Did anyone else notice the same? Why was this happening? While it’s easy to indulge in conspiracy theories, an open-minded skepticism is warranted. Nonetheless, the experience undeniably weirded out many, leaving them questioning the moderation practices of the platform.
As more people become aware of the UAP Disclosure Act, easy access to accurate information remains crucial to fostering informed public discourse.
